Sick Day :/

Soooo I'll be honest. I felt like shee-hah today and really did not try to learn SQUAT JANK. I messed around but actually liked some of the pics I did of Allison. It was rainy and cloudy but actually okay weather to shoot in.

Preparing For Album Shoot!

For our semester projects we have to do an album cover. This is definitely NOT my final album cover. I asked Smith to show me how to layer pictures so that you can cut and add things in. It was a whole lot more complicated than I thought, but a lot of fun. First, I took a picture of just the door and the background. Then I took a second picture of just Alex standing with her arms up. I immediately took another with Taylor and her arms around her. After I took the pictures I uploaded them into Photoshop. I had to layer the pictures one on top of the other and go in and cut out Taylor piece by piece. This is a super rough beginning but I definitely learned something new today. I'm so excited to do my real album cover!

FINAL FAVORITE ORB!

MY FINAL FAVORITE EDITED ORRRRB!!!!!!!!

Orb Attempt Dos

I was soooo afraid that my second try at orbs was still gonna sucks...BUT! It didn't!! I was actually really proud of the ones I got. I ended up altering the way I made the orbs quite a bit. Instead of taping the glow sticks together, I put them all in a gallon sized Ziploc bag and then used a butt load of clear tape around the string and the end of the bag. I also made a makeshift handle and gutted out a pen and fed the string through it because my finger was dyinggg from rope burn. The two at the back of the church were my first ones and I really really liked those two. The one of to the side is actually my least favorite just because you can see me and the orb isn't one of the brightest and clearest. I think the last one is my favorite of them all. I need to bring up the fill light a bit, but I really love that one. Having a remote this round made it 800x easier. When I saw that Kenzie was able to do a good one inside I decided I would try one too and the church is just such a cool looking place. I was really excited about this. Even though it's all over, I think I'm going to try and do more in other places.

Orb Attempt Uno

For our thematic section in Tops, we all decided we were going to do orbs. This was my first try on doing them. I was out in this vacant lot type thingy near my house with my dad, brother, and boyfriend. The biggest inconvenience was that I didn't have a remote. I had to focus it, go stand out there, have my brother hold the shutter button down while I spun, have someone else put a black folder in front of the lens so I could run back, take the folder off and expose for a while, and then Matt was finally able to take his finger of the shutter. It was a ridiculously long process and none of the orbs I got were very good. Fail :(

Prom!

This past Saturday was our senior prom. I'm not a senior, sadly, so I just walked around all these gorgeous girls in my shorts and shirt. It was fun -_- Anywho, I shot for two and a half hours and got some decent pics. It's always so hard to shoot dances for me because the lights are always changing and people are movin way to fast and yadda yadda. It was a little harder too because I had to shoot on the dance floor and downstairs in the casino part. It was a lot of fun though. I super enjoy taking un-posed pictures.

Once again...we were chillin in the theater. Heather had brought her mask because she was gluing rhinestones onto it so we all decided to have fun with it and take pictures. I adooored a lot of these. Especially the tilted one of Alex. I took over forty pictures but a lot of them weren't exposed as well as I wanted because we kept moving around the theater and the light was different everywhere yadda yadda.  Anyway, I POSTED SMITH!

Entrance

Today we were down in the theater messing around (again!) and I saw Heather standing by the curtains and had a revelation! And made Hannah go hold a flash behind the curtains. It was actually pretty neato.
