Day 6
So, at 18 I am deathly afraid of the dark. No joke. Don't judge. Anywho, I actually like the one I took of my brother better than my own just because he did a way better job of looking scared than I did. I'm also proud of the lighting I got on both of these. I didn't use a vignette in Lightroom at all. I had my flash set on 1/2 and I thought I'd have to use a snoot, but when I turned all the lights out in my room and angled it on my face, it worked out perfectly. I also wanted to point out that once again I did not have a flash stand. So I got all creative and whatnot. I lugged my ironing board into my room and put a match box and an empty tic-tac box underneath the lens to point it up just a little. College bound thinkin material right here guyz.

Day 1
Today Rushing and I decided to do a 65 Day Project. Between now and Spring Break, we have 65 days. A lot of photographers do a 365 day project where they take a self portrait every day for one whole year. Well Rush and I aren't gonna be together for 365 days (nor while I have access to gear for the next 365 days) so we decided to do 65 days. I'm actually really excited about it! I don't know what I'll end up doing tomorrow because I'll be in the car all day. We'll see.
Day 5
Day 5...Oops, I got caught.
Today Hannah brought us a cake she made and everyone absolutely devoured it, so I decided to use the cake for inspiration. I had an uncovered flash on my background and a soft box to my right. The top one was just me trying to get my settings right because I was originally going to use my whole body but my idea didn't work out the way I planned so I used the second idea instead. I actually really like the way it came out.

Day 3
Once again, I don't have any kind of flash with me so I had to make do with what I did have. I decided that I wanted to advertise the things I normally try to paint over; my crooked glasses, my abnormally small ears, my keebler elf nose, my butt chin, my weird collarbones. I took a covered lamp that sits in my grandma's living room and I directed it to where it just shot the edge of the light across the left side of my face. I wanted to make all of my features more prominent so I made shadows on them. Hopefully soon I can get more creative with this. I've got some fun ideas I wanna work on soon!
P.S. Boo Rushing for slacking on her third day!!!!

Day 2
ISO: 1250 f/2.8 1/250sec
Day 2! Today I spent five or so hours in the car so this picture is basically me trying really hard to be imaginative while sitting in a confined space for so darn long. Another difficulty was the fact that the window behind me was crazy bright. My original settings gave me a picture of white and my knee. It was ridiculous. Anyway, this is my day two picture. Maybe in the next 63 days I'll actually get one of my face...

Book Signing in Jonesboro!
Over break, my mom and dad and I went to a book signing up in Jonesboro. My dad cowrote a book with this self-help author, Allyson Lewis. It was in Barns and Noble and my dad just wanted me to take a couple of pictures for Facebook and his blog. I had a lot of fun but the lights in Barnes and Noble were this crazy yellowy greeny color and it was throwing me of big time. But I worked with my exposure and white balance and figured it out pretty early on.

Codei & Meagan
During Christmas break this week, this couple I'm friends with asked me to take some pictures of them as their Christmas gift to each other. It was actually a really great experience! I had a lot of fun but me and my exposure got to have some real great personal bonding time together. I've never shot a couple before and it was cool to get the experience. I think my favorite shot I got was the one of the two of them in the leaves lying next to each other.
